MUSIC
LESSONS
Learning to play an instrument is one of the most rewarding experiences you can give yourself, or your child. I believe music can help shape our character, as well as to teach us how to work & accomplish our goals. I offer lessons to all (young & old) who wish to learn & improve.
Students of mine regularly participate in RCM exams and have won competitions both locally and provincially. As for my teaching style, I have a very comfortable yet diligent approach, and ultimately look to maximize each student's potential… while still having some fun.

TESTIMONIALS
"My son, Benedict, has been playing cello in Kevin’s studio for four years. Kevin uses some methodology from Suzuki, but he marries this with traditional ways of teaching and uses various study books, which are helpful. Kevin ensures that Benedict learns skills correctly and he is great at challenging him and assessing his progress. He watches that techniques are well formed, from left hand finger and arm placement, shifting and bow strokes. Kevin takes time with music learned and focuses on style and dynamics, aiming for excellent performaces. All of that being said, Kevin’s manner is patient and kind and he manages to make lessons firm yet enjoyable which is not easy to do when teaching a young boy."

He’s very effective and professional, while always remaining approachable and friendly, which creates the perfect balance for learning."

“Kevin is a talented musician and teacher. He is demanding yet always encouraging, keeping my son focused and challenging him to be better. He also explains technique really well to make practice at home less frustrating. My son looks up to Kevin and looks forward to every single lesson!”
